Conscientization programme

As part of the B.Ed. curriculum, a conscientization program was conducted for 8th-grade students on the **impact of junk food on health**. The session aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of excessive consumption of processed and fast foods. Students were introduced to the nutritional deficiencies in junk food, such as high levels of unhealthy fats, sugars, and artificial additives, which contribute to obesity, diabetes, heart diseases, and other lifestyle disorders. Interactive activities, including discussions, presentations, and visual demonstrations, were used to engage students effectively. Real-life case studies and comparative charts of healthy and unhealthy eating habits helped reinforce the message. The program also encouraged students to adopt healthier dietary choices, emphasizing the importance of balanced nutrition, fresh fruits, vegetables, and home-cooked meals. Feedback from students indicated a greater understanding of how junk food affects their physical and mental well-being. The session concluded with students taking a pledge to make healthier food choices, making the program a successful and impactful learning experience.
